Kanbara Wings of Fortune – Namazake
Wings of Fortune is named after the kirin", a mythical winged harbinger of good fortune. Sake lovers will enjoy the good fortune of drinking this Junmai Ginjo whose milling rate (50%) qualifies it as a Junmai Daiginjo.
90 Points, Stephen Tanzers International Wine Cellar, 2007
"Pale, green-tinged color. Very expressive, clean, saline aromas of lime, squash, pumpkin and smoke. Offers a chewy texture without an impression of weight; the flavors of squash, melon and licorice are fresh and lightly sweet. Finishes with good breadth and subtle flavor. Made from pure mountain water."

Tasting Notes
Light to medium-bodied, the aromas are reminiscent of forest floor, woody with cedar and pine tree. There is an alluring spiciness at the base with an anise bouquet while the fruit flavors of green apples, pineapple, and ripe honeydew, compound the typically higher acidity of this Niigata sake into a pleasant anise packed, dry finish.
