08 Pinot Noir, Glorieta Vineyard
Second-generation farmer Isaias Prieto has tended many high-elevation vineyards for over two decades throughout Mendoza. His favorite is his 20 acres of Pinot Noir situated 3,700 above Tupungato planted with 5 different Burgundy clones. Not only does the Glorieta Vineyard provide him the challenge of growing Pinot Noir in a high desert climate but his children also love coming with him to climb on the “glorieta” (flower-covered pergola in Spanish) at the entrance to the vineyard.

Tasting Notes
This easy-to-drink Pinot has a very pretty nose of nutmeg, baking spice, and floral notes. A solid layer of red, bing cherry jam leads the palate, topped off with a light touch of oak. Medium-bodied and delicious, this is the perfect wine to enjoy before and throughout your meal. Nicely complements traditional Pinot-friendly foods like lamb and grilled salmon.
