Losada

Setting out to create an elegant profile for the wines of new Bierzo, Losada Vinos de Finca took the bold step of following the example of those old estates, which, planted on clay soils, had been hitherto undervalued. Thus it was that Losada came to be established on the outskirts of the village of Pieros, on the Route of St James halfway between Cacabelos and Villafranca del Bierzo. Also included are various parcels of vineyard round and about Valtuille de Arriba, known as Altos de Losada, characterized by predominantly clay soils.
