06 Old Vines Grenache 'Longhop,' Adelaide Plains
Pretty much a mirror image that of 2005 with average winter and spring rains helped maintain adequate moisture levels for our deep-rooted old vines. The warm to moderate December and January temperatures, with drier than average conditions gave the vines a tremendous boost for another intense quality vintage, with disease-free canopies and bunches. 2006 Longhop Old Vine Grenache again shows “great colour and intense fruit flavours”

Tasting Notes
Deeply coloured....firm, ripe and concentrated, pure raspberry and a multitude of black fruits, loaded with spice and layered thick....lovely balance with a silky smooth, very long palate and lingering finish....class effort by the site.
