San Clodio

Sanclodio is owned by award-winning Spanish art-film maker Jose Luís Cuerda – his films include Bosque Animado, La Lengua de Las Mariposas, and Educacion de las Hadas. He has owned Sanclodio since just after his 1999 movie La Lengua de las Mariposas (“Butterfly’s Tongue”), won a Goya, the Spanish equivalent to an Oscar, for best adapted screenplay in 2000. Sanclodio, named for the monks that cultivated the land for centuries and their former monastery down the road from the property, San Clodio.
